Singapore sees 910 new infections; serious cases low

SINGAPORE—Singapore’s health ministry reported 910 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the highest since May last year, with average new daily infections rising from 146 two weeks ago to 682 in the past week. But the number of people in serious condition remains low, however, with 12 in intensive care units, from a total of 837 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Singapore as of Thursday, the health ministry said. More than 80 percent of its population has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
