ENSURING RELEVANCE THROUGH INNOVATION

By Din M. Villafuerte @dinmveeINQ

It has always been part of Inquirer Property’s thrust to engage its readers and share as much invaluable information with them, especially those who are looking to invest in their own living space or fatten their nest egg with real estate acquisitions.

Over the years, Inquirer Property has forged partnerships with fellow innovators to bring more helpful content to its readers. This year, the section decided to go the extra mile with more exciting features and innovations never before seen in a real estate section of a broadsheet.

Investing in your own home—whether it’s a studio unit in the middle of the bustling city or a single-family detached house in the suburbs—is no easy feat. It can be daunting and entails painstaking details that need careful deliberation before a decision can be made. And this is where Inquirer Property comes in.

‘THE HOWS OF HOUSING’

There’s more to audio streaming services than listening to your favorite tunes. Podcasts, those audio programs you can listen to for free, have become extremely popular, with Inquirer Property setting up a home in this world of spoken words.

Hosted by Property editor Tek Samaniego, “The Hows of Housing” is meant to equip millennials and Gen Zs “with enough knowledge so they could buy their own home, or at least decide whether they are ready to do so.” It is the fifth title that the Philippine Daily Inquirer has created, together with PumaPodcast, an award-winning enterprise podcast production company.

In “The Hows of Housing,” Samaniego speaks with real estate experts and young people to explain the processes involved in buying a home. Bottomline questions
