RECOGNIZING NEW FILMMAKERS

The 2021 CineMapúa Student Short Film Festival, in partnership with streaming platform YFilms of Yuchengco Museum, recently lauded the finalists of its 19th season.

Organized by the School of Media Studies, the festival has almost a hundred entries.

Finalists

For the Collegiate category, digital filmmaking student Vahn Leinard Pascual was the sole finalist from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts, with two award-winning shorts.

Other finalists were Vincent Joseph Entuna and by John Patrick Manio from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman; Chicken LigaGive ya from the University of San Carlos Cebu; Jerico Felicilda from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Manila; and by Earvic Noay from UP Open University;

Aaron Neil Domingo from Far Eastern University Manila; Kate Villanueva and Flory Ann Tacuban from UP Visayas; Shiri Francesca de Leon and Jermaine Tulbo from Meridian International College Taguig;

Jan Darryl Villafuerte from the Mapua University Makati; Raphael Jay Cordova from the Mindanao State University; and Andrei Francis Arrocena from the Ateneo de Davao University.
