A historical marker was installed at the Dasmariñas Church in Cavite by the National Historical Institute. The stone church was first built as patronage to the Immaculate Conception, with Father Valentin Diaz serving as the first parish priest. The church was also relevant historically as its convent once served as seat of the civil government of the Spaniards. In 1897, a bloody battle between Spanish soldiers and Filipino revolutionaries led by Capt. Placido Campos took place in the church.
