Lisa

Blackpink’s Lisa was literally everywhere last week. After she and her bandmates wrapped up the Riyadh leg of their “Born Pink” world tour, they performed at the Pièces Jaunes charity concert in Paris organized by French first lady Brigitte Macron. Each member is popular in her own right but the youngest stands out for three achievements that have found their way into the Guinness Book of World Records. Her debut single “LaLisa” has made her the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Video Music Awards and the first solo K-pop winner at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The Thai-born all-around performer also got the nod for having the “most followers on Instagram for a K-pop artist” with 87.3 million as of Jan. 28. Lisa later asserted her social media clout by setting entertainment and sports fans on a frenzy with her snapshots with football superstar Neymar and tennis god Roger Federer. The rumor mill also abounds with all things Lisa. The story goes she was offered $81 million to switch to a Chinese agency once her contract with YG Entertainment expires in August.
