I’m not sure I agree with the idea that we should oppose a new measure based on the reasoning that “it could be prone to abuse.” If we take that and apply it consistently, then no new laws or whatever can be made because they all in theory could be abused.

The Philippines is a nation full of world-class talent with no support. Imagine if the government fully invested in music, film, and sports similar to other countries. It’ll boost tourism, economy and if done right can bleed into other areas in need of funding.
