GLOBE SIGNS UP MORE PARTNERS FOR 5G ROAMING

The Ayala Group’s Globe Telecom signed up more partners, bringing its 5G roaming service to 67 countries and territories to date.

The telecommunications giant said its subscribers can now avail of 5G roaming in Austria (T-Mobile), Malaysia (Digi), Macau (CTM), US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico (AT&T), Vatican City (Windtre), Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales (EE), Russia (Megafon) and Northern Marianas (Docomo Pacific).

The company also partnered with more international telco providers, including Hi3G in Denmark, SFR in France, Windtre in Italy, T-Mobile in the Netherlands, Slovak Telekom in Slovakia, Salt in Switzerland and MEO in Portugal.

5G is touted as the next-generation mobile standard offering ultra-fast internet speeds.

Globe also has tie-ups with foreign operators in Sri Lanka, Romania, Egypt, Isle of Man and Mexico. This allows subscribers of those foreign network to avail of Global’s 5G services when visiting the Philippines.

We also paired their 5G experience with Globe data roaming promos that are now affordable and accessible for our customers via the GlobeOne app,” said Coco Domingo, Globe vice resident of postpaid and international business.
